The Autumn Chill

So autumn has truly crept upon us and we are approaching Samhain rapidly. I apologize for my lack of posts on the 30 days of Shinto challenge but I have been struggling with some health issues as of late. I just wanted to make a small update blog post while I gain the energy to write those posts for you guys!

Recently I’ve been studying tarot a lot more, card by card and I have also gotten some new decks. Although I have been reading for quite some time I find that there is always more to learn when it comes to tarot. I haven’t been doing any readings lately as I’ve not been feeling well enough in myself to be honest. I suffer from seasonal affective disorder which hit about a week ago so I am trying to get used to the changes in my body due to that.

I’m trying to keep my mind as active as possible. I’ve been studying tarot as I said and also counselling and Norwegian. A strange combination I suppose! Counselling and tarot are connected to what I want to do for a living, along with art. Norwegian is just a hobby. Yes, I’ve dropped Japanese for now as I feel it may be easier when I have a second or even third language under my belt.

I have been having a lot of dreams involving snakes lately. They are always a dream animal of mind and seem to forewarn me of events. In August I also drew some cards for the month ahead and this month was ‘The Tower’. I think that this probably referenced my s.a.d. coming back as it threw me off schedule and has messed up much of my planning and scheduling.

In any case, I’m going to do my best to look on the bright side and remain positive. I’m looking forward to Samhain/Halloween, bonfire night and of course Yule/Christmas! I’ll have some more posts up here in the next few days with luck!

Hope you are all having a lovely autumn/fall!
